Project: Due 9/24 (9th grade) or 9/25 (10th grade) – Pick one of the following systems: digestive, cardiovascular, or respiratory. For the system you have chosen draw and label the major organs on a sheet of paper. Do not use lined paper. Briefly explain what each organ does. On the back or on a separate piece of paper answer the following questions:
(1) What does this system do in the human body?
(2) What can you do to ensure that you keep this system functioning properly?
(b) What may be some of the consequences if this system begins to break down?
(3) Research at least three diseases that are associated with this system. Describe the disease. What are its symptoms and causes? What may happen to a person that has this disease? How is the disease treated? How can it be prevented?
